News from Norway

A little about taxes in Norway.

How much tax does Norwegians actually pay?

This just giving a simple overview over normal peoples tax burden.

Should be low taxes in a country with so much oil and gas coming up from the sea every day.

So the goverment has a big wallet with steady income from the nature, most would belive the tax level could be held low.

So families with children in the lower/middle class could have a secure life. Pay debt for their homes, and have oportunity to buy a safe family car and so on. Dream on!

But all working people here are forced to pay most of their income to the goverment.
If you ask any politican here we not pay so much tax, only 28 to 45 percent of the income.

Yes, thats correct.

But if we buy a car, a new gasoline car. We pay about 50% of the total cost of the car in taxes. And car needs fuel, there its only about 60% tax on gasoline…
All other goods and most food we buy there is a VAT on 25%.

Employers have about 40% taxes before the workers gets salary.

There is som many exsamples in this subject, but I keep it short.

So when all the money spent, about 65-75% go to goverment in different taxes.

And the fun part is that the politicans adjusting a little there and here so their insane money consumption can go on.

They using our money like the famous drunken sailors.

I will come back with many examples of the reason why it became like this. Its people that runs this country that have 4 years to do all their dreams, and get a name for themselfes. This combined with wallets that never go empty, and selfish politicans.
